“I chose to work in IVF because I want to help people build their families and bring joy to those who are struggling to conceive. I find it rewarding to be part of a process that brings new life into the world and makes dreams of parenthood come true. Plus, IVF is a field that combines science, technology, and compassion, which aligns with my interests and values.”

Guided by Passion, Driven by Mentorship

At an early stage in my career, I’ve been fortunate to gain extensive experience and expertise in reproductive medicine, a field in which I am deeply passionate about continuous learning and exploration.

Initially, I worked as a college lecturer, but my career took a different path when I joined the American Fertility Center (AFC). At AFC, I got a behind-the-scenes look at how Andrologists and Embryologists work together to help couples achieve their dreams of parenthood.

Over the course of my two years at AFC, I dedicated myself fully to my work as an Andrologist and Junior Embryologist. In addition to these primary roles, I adeptly managed multiple responsibilities, including serving as a cashier, lab manager, and infertility physician assistant. My mentors, Dr. Rizwan Malik and Dr. Jose Juan Luna Martín del Campo, significantly helped me explore and deepen my passion.

In the Pursuit of Knowledge

I loved working at AFC, and my passion for this profession reached its peak. I wanted to learn even more, which led me to move to Peshawar, where I joined the Rehman Medical Institute. Prof. Dr. Roeda Shams is my mentor.

Currently, I am running the entire department of the Center of Reproductive Medicine, where I handle everything from managing files and protocols to overseeing all the andrology and embryology work.

By the grace of Allah and the support of my family,  I’ve become skilled in performing semen analysis, IUI, DNA fragmentation, denudation, thawing, and vitrification of cryopreserved sperm, embryos, or eggs, as well as embryo transfers and FETs. I’m also comfortable with English and have a good grasp of computer skills.

Hard Work and Compassion

In my current job, I am a versatile worker who handles multiple responsibilities. My Head of Department (HOD) always appreciates my work, and we have a great working relationship built on mutual respect. She is supportive because she knows that I am hardworking, multitalented, and intelligent. Beyond that, I’ve often received appreciation from our patients. Being able to provide them with counseling and support during their journey is incredibly rewarding, and their gratitude means the world to me.

Encouraged to Achieve

My family is very supportive of my professional growth. Whenever I need to move out of the city for work or training, they encourage me to go, allowing me to explore and learn more skills in my field. They know I have big dreams to advance in my profession, and they have never held me back. Their support helps me pursue my dreams and achieve my goals.

Awaiting Future Opportunities

Looking ahead, I aspire to perform ICSI and biopsies, as these are my passions.  I am hopeful that I will have the opportunity to pursue these endeavors in the near future, I.A.
