An AI system (FOLLISCAN) counted follicles on 212 ovarian ultrasound cine-loops from 79 patients across five Polish clinics and was compared with routine clinical assessment for the ESHRE FNPO ≥20 PCOM criterion. Precision was similar (96% vs 93%), but AI sensitivity was far higher (79% vs 39%; McNemar p = 0.00097), with the biggest gains in borderline cases near the diagnostic cut-off.
